Where do I begin? I love long walks in the park, breakfast at Tiffany’s… I am a native Houstonian that has become a lover of music, especially this thing called Hip Hop. I first began blogging on my Tumblr last year out of boredom. I decided to start my own blog after someone asked me to write reviews for their site but never posted my content. Instead of hassling them, I started my own platform, can you see me now? Good

I fell in love with music: When I heard “It Takes Two” by Rob Bass & DJ EZ Rock! That was the first song I learned verbatim. “It takes two to make a thing go riiight”

Favorite Rapper: Jay-Z. The first Jay-Z album I owned was In My Lifetime Vol 1, the cassette. Thinking about it now, that album was quite slaw .

Most memorable rap line: “When I die, f*ck it, I wanna go to hell/ Cause I’m a piece of shit it hard to f*cking tell/ It don’t make sense going to heaven with the goodie goodies/ dressed in white, I like black Timbs and black hoodies” are we allowed to go that deep in Hip Hop? Sheesh

Favorite Singer: This is hard for me; I am in love with Brandy and I think she is one of the great voices of my generation. Her tone is impeccable. But, I am obsessed with Erykah Badu.

If stranded on an island and could only listen to 5 albums, what would they be: Baduizm, Full Moon, American Gangster, Riding Dirty, My Life, darn thats 5 already

I graduated from the University of Texas (Hook ‘Em Horns) in 2009 & decided to leave the capitol city for H-Town in September 2011.  I lived in Austin for 7 years, but Houston is the place for me!  I really love everything about the city including the music scene.  I have no professional training in writing or music.  They are just two things that I love to do.  When I was little I used to tell people that I wanted to be MC Lyte & I used to listen to my dad’s record of “Rapper’s Delight” everyday

I fell in love with music: when my dad used to play records for me when I was little. He was a stay-at-home dad for a while. The first record I remember playing by myself was Off The Wall.

Favorite Singer: Lauryn Hill

If stranded on an island and could only listen to 5 albums, what would they be: Beyonce – 4 (party), Drake – So Far Gone (chill), Jagged Edge – Hard (love), Michael Jackson – Off The Wall (classic) & Gucci Mane – The State vs. Radric Davis (hood)
